On Thursday, August 8th, a group of Year 13 Media Studies students embarked on an exciting visit to Weta Workshop Unleashed.  The trip aimed to delve into the inner workings of the New Zealand film industry and explore the magic behind Weta's renowned special effects. 

During the tour, students gained a unique insight into the workshop's operations and had the hands-on opportunity to craft their own props. A highlight of the day was a sneak preview of upcoming films being shot in New Zealand, with Weta's expertise bringing them to life. This enriching experience provided students with a deeper understanding of the film industry and the innovative techniques employed by Weta. 

It was an unforgettable experience for our aspiring media professionals.
