Principal's Pānui

17 December 2024

The staff of Massey High School would like to wish all our family/whānau all the very best for the festive season. We would like to express our thanks to all who have supported their children throughout the course of this year, both in terms of supporting their academic journeys and their involvement in wider school life.

To our Year 13 students – best of luck in your future endeavours – for those families whose association with Massey High School has formally come to an end with the departure of your child(ren) thank you for all you have done. We would encourage our departing Year 13s to remain in touch with the school as the years progress – keep us informed of your successes and when the time comes (and the means dictate) give back to the school in any way you can. We are always looking to have former students come back in to talk about their years after school.

For our remaining students, enjoy the Summer, reflect on the year and look to learn from mistakes made, and build on success. Next year will bring new opportunities and new challenges.

Finally, I’d like to thank our staff – teaching and non-teaching alike for their contribution to a successful year – each plays a hugely important part in the running of our school. I know from experience that the focus on their own classes, or their own unique role in the school can sometimes mask the importance that their role plays in the bigger picture – go into your summer break knowing that everything you do is appreciated, and forms an essential part of Massey High School as a whole.

Make the most of the Summer, spend time with those important to you, and have a wonderful festive season.

See you all in 2025.
